In the summer and the long warm falls, sailing, swimming, beachcombing, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, kayaking and motor boating are all at your doorstep. In the winter, skate or ice fish on your own pond, skidoo up country roads or snowshoe or cross-country ski for miles across the frozen barrens that stretch between West Quoddy and Port Dufferin. Wherever you are, the sea is always in sight.
If you look long enough, in your own yard you will see gulls, loons, herons, plovers, terns, willets, swallows, osprey, pheasants, kingfishers, Northern Flickers, chickadees, finches, spruce grouse, hawks and harriers, owls, otters, mink, deer and curious seals.
